Koren was invited to speak to students at CSUN about the importance of promoting yourself and your business through social media. Joining him on the Panel were representatives from Northstar Moving, Slide and the Los Angeles Unified School District. Over one hundred marketing and communications students had the opportunity to ask questions about the newest networks, privacy concerns and how to use social media to land their next job. This was Koren's first time back at CSUN since he graduated 10 years ago. |

A filmmaker learns a lot from working on student films in school. For the Young Brothers, the greatest lessons came from their first post-college independent film.
The Writer (2004) was shot on 35mm film using a Panavision camera and a Nagra to record non-sync sound. As Producer, Koren got to learn things like how to deal with union actors, license music from major labels and get permits from the county and the state. Ryan had the pleasure of reconforming audio after new picture locks and learning about pull-downs for film speeds. This was their first opportunity to work on a professional dub stage.
After 7 years, it’s finally available online. See it for yourself!
